Taste of Seaside

Seaside Heights, NJ (June 18, 2010) - The Seaside Heights Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will partner with the Seaside Heights Business Improvement District and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church to host the first "Taste of Seaside" food sampling on Monday, June 28, 2010, 5 PM to 7 PM. The event will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Health church hall on Grant Avenue in Seaside Heights.
"Taste of Seaside" will feature a variety of restaurants and vendors from Seaside Heights. The event will showcase samples that will satisfy everyone's taste buds. Some of the restaurants participating are Hemingwa's, Luna Rosa, Spicy's Cantina, and El Camino, which will serve up their gourmet dishes. Everyone's favorite boardwalk treats will also be at the event from Maruca's Pizza, The Beachcomber, Bubba's and Jimbo's. Guests will also be able to sample dessert from a wide range of businesses such as Sugar and Kohr's Frozen Custard. Many more of Seaside's favorite restaurants such as Greek Peak, Ryan's Caterers, The Pearl and La Casa del Sol will be serving up their best dishes.
The S.H.F.D. Auxiliary is hosting the fundraising event in order to raise revenue for the organization. Admission to the event includes free tasting at each vendor station. Tickets will be sold prior to the event and will cost $20 for adults and $10 for children 2 to 12 years old. Family packages costing $50 will be sold to families with two adults and two children. Children under 2 are free.

The Seaside Heights Volunteer Fire Department Station #44 was established in 1913, has over 50 volunteers and serves Seaside Heights, Ortley Beach and Pelican Island . The Auxiliary also supports fire fighters by setting up water and food stations during fire calls.
